Roger Ver recommends a diversified portfolio

Roger Ver, the Bitcoin Cash evangelist , is an early Bitcoin investor. Also known as Bitcoin Jesus, he began investing in BTC in 2011. Back then, the price of the first decentralized currency was about $1. Discussing his investments, Ver declared that it is important for traders to have a diversified portfolio. From his point of view, nobody should invest all their assets in a single coin.

The name of the game: Diversified portfolio

Evidently, Ver owns Bitcoin Cash, as he is a proeminent supporter of BCH. However, he revealed that he also invested in other cryptocurrencies. “I hold more Bitcoin Cash then anything else, but I have some Ether, some ZCash, some ZCoin, Dash, Monero and I still hold BTC as well. So a little bit of everything is a good idea, including a bit of Ripple and Stellar. Diversify, diversify, diversify is the name of the game”, said Ver.

According to Ver, the downward trend of the first cryptocurrency is due to the fact that BTC was difficult to use in December 2017. Back then, Bitcoin reached an ATH (all-time high) of nearly $19.000. During this period, the mining fee increased, which led to a network congestion. Thus, the duration of transactions became longer. Ver believes that this led many of the people who were using BTC to turn to altcoins.

Apart from the importance of a diversified portfolio, Ver did not miss the chance to discuss about Bitcoin Cash and its benefits. The investor believes that “all the adoption, merchants, and business are being built on top of Bitcoin Cash at this point, so in the future, I think BCH is the best from an investment standpoint”.

Regarding the evolution of the cryptocurrency he supports, Ver admitted that it wasn’t a good year for BCH. Bitcoin Cash dropped from $4.091, its ATH, reached on the 20th of December 2017. According to CoinMarketCap, at the time of publishing, BCH is now worth $629.
