Yes, You Can Buy Your World Cup Ticket with Bitcoin

Russian crypto-media has asked if you can buy the World Cup tickets with Bitcoin.

The both football and cryptocurrencies had developed a lot in the last time. The dilemma all around the world is if you can buy tickets with Bitcoin for the Mundial. Some people want to know if they can spend their digital coins on the tickets for 2018 FIFA World Cup.

“Dear FIFA, why?”

The Organizing Committee announced that almost 1.7 million tickets have been sold so far. Tickets will be again available on April 18. From May 1st, the tickets will be sold on FIFA Venue Ticketing Centers.

Football fans from all around the world will visit Russia between June 14 to July 15. The fans can’t participate at World Cup if they don’t have a ticket. The tickets can be purchased through Visa, the official partner of World Cup.

 

Non-Russian residents can send international wires after they fill out a “ticket application form” that can be downloaded from FIFA.com.

A big number of people prefer the payment in cryptocurrencies and cross-border money transfer. There are countries where is permitted to pay with Bitcoin, or not. This depends on the regulations of the Government and the inflation of the country.

Both can be used in Russia and on FIFA’s website, actually pretty much anywhere else, too.

The new Visa debit cards with GBP, EUR, USD, and of course Bitcoin, are again available in Europe. Virtual cards are available in other markets, for example – Sweden.

“We are going to issue plastic cards in Europe in 4 weeks”, Wirex told one of the applicants a couple of days ago. Check availability on their website, but in any case you should be able to order and receive your prepaid Visa debit card in time for the Mundial.

And if you prefer the competition, check the Epayments website. They offer a Mastercard that you can fill up with your Bitcoins. Epayments accepts also in their wallet Ethereum. You can also load your card with fiat – dollars, euros, and even rubles are accepted through Yandex money and Qiwi accounts.
