Steve Wozniak thinks that Bitcoin is pure digital gold

Since Satoshi Nakamoto gave us Bitcoin, some of the greatest minds on the planet have joined the crypto-enthusiast train. One such supporter of Bitcoin is Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple, along Steve Jobs. Wozniak believes that Bitcoin is “pure digital gold”. He made this statement earlier this week, in Amsterdam, while attending Money 20/20 Conference. Wozniak said he agrees with Twitter’s CEO, Jack Dorsey, regarding the crypto market evolution.

Bitcoin – pure digital gold and single global currency

Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter, is also a big supporter of Bitcoin. Since March 2017, Dorsey made statements about his interest for BTC in several occasions. He believes that Bitcoin will become the currency of the internet and of the world. According to him, Bitcoin will become the international currency in about a decade, by the year 2028.

Wozniak thinks that Bitcoin will become the single global currency in the future. “I buy into what Jack Dorsey says, not that I necessarily believe it’s going to happen, but because I want it to be that way, that is so pure thinking”, he said.

Wozniak believes that Bitcoin should be used for both offline and online transactions. More than that, he compared Bitcoin to a natural phenomenon, that grows and develops without the need of human intervention. “Bitcoin is mathematically defined, there is a certain quantity of bitcoin, there’s a way it’s distributed… and it’s pure and there’s no human running, there’s no company running and it’s just… growing and growing”, said Apple’s co-founder.

The investor declared that he bought Bitcoin when it was worth 700 dolars, in order to see how he could make online purchases. He also said that he did not buy BTC for investment purposes. Moreover, Wozniak sold all but one BTC, that he still keeps to experiment with online transactions.
