Lamborghini, as a status symbol of crypto wealth for Bitcoin millionaires

Lamborghini is a status symbol of crypto community for Bitcoin millionaires. Lamborghini has already become a meme on Internet. When a new coin has a lot of buyers, appears the question: “When’s Lambo?” on the social media.

For example, in 2015, Peter Saddington paid 45 Bitcoin to ride off a Lamborghini Huracan. In 2011 a Bitcoin was less than $US3 when Saddington bought the Bitcoin.

“Buying the Lambo with Bitcoin is proof it can be used for real transactions, buying really cool stuff,” Saddington told Yahoo Finance in 2017. “It’s not only used by criminals.”

Saddington paid the seller directly in bitcoin. He paid the dealership a transaction fee of $US7.95 and the sales tax in cash, according to Yahoo Finance and CNBC.

Piper Moretti specialized in 2015 in helping people t buy houses in crypto. One of his first clients, bought a Lambo with Bitcoin.

For example, a family from Manhattan Beach wanted to buy a house of $US3.2 million with Bitcoin. The seller of the house didn’t accept this method and Moretti suggested for buyers to find a method not to be a scam for seller.

That time, the price of Bitcoin rose, and the buyer of Moretti decided to spend her money on a Lamborghini. The dealer accepted the Bitcoin as a payment.

Moretti told her client to “send me everything you have on this,” including all the receipts and documents from the transaction, which she then provided to the seller’s agent.

“The Lambo actually helped us get the house,” Moretti told Business Insider.

Cryptocurrency is “not just internet-nerd money,” she added. “You can actually buy things.”

According to a new article in the New York Times, the only way to spend Bitcoin in cryptocurrencies community is to buy Lamborghini.

“If all that we accomplish is Lambo memes and immature puns about ‘sharting,’ then I WILL leave,” Buterin said in a Twitter rant in December.

A photo with Buterin around a Lamborghini Aventador went viral on Reddit on 2017 and was shared by a lot of people.

A recent report in Quartz shows that the sales of Lamborghini rise with the price of Ether.

According to Lamborghini, the year of 2017 was a year record for delivered automobiles. Lamborghini managed to deliver a number of 3,815 vehicles last year.

Lamborghini produced new car models the Huracan Performante and the Aventador S, in 2017. Both proved to be monster hits, which explains the carmaker’s sales bump.

Fans of crypto and Lamborghini can calculate when their crypto investment will create enough gains for them. They can  buy the supercar on a parody website called When-Lambo.com.

A disclaimer on the website says: “The results of the calculation,” which is based on the coin’s value over the last seven days, “are completely fictional.”
