Playboy TV announced that they will accept crypto payments. According to their announcement, Playboy will have its own wallet until the end of this year. For now, representatives of the company declared that they will accept Vice Industry Token (VIT).  Later on, Playboy will use other cryptocurrencies as a method of payment.

More and more businesses are recognizing the advantages of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Thus, more and more businesses are accepting cryptocurrencies as a mode of payment. Whether it’s about another International airport that accepts Bitcoin or companies like Microsoft, crypto-enthusiasts from around the world salute the initiative.

What crypto will Playboy TV accept?

Vice Industry Token (VIT) is specifically conceived for tracking user engagement on adult content channels over a blockchain. Playboy TV declared that subscribers can use VITs on the official channel for commenting and voting. Last but not least, they can use the tokens to view original content.

The initiative is totally impressive for a TV channel because is the first channel that will use cryptocurrencies as a payment method. Reena Patel, Chief Operations Officer, Licensing and Media for Playboy Enterprises has made comments about the decision. “As the popularity of alternative payment methods continues to grow around the world, along with the reach Playboy’s digital platforms, we feel it is important to give our 100 million monthly consumers increased payment flexibility“, she said.

Playboy is working on developing its industry in new directions, especially with this new initiative. The wallet that the company intends on using will support various crypto for payment. Subscribers to Playboy TV will be able to use cryptocurrencies to view Playboy TV’s videos and other contents. However, Playboy Magazine will not be available for purchase using cryptocurrencies yet.
